Since March 2023, Schwarz Produktion has been producing recyclable, renewable and biodegradable printing papers at its Maxau site. To meet the high demands of the paper industry, a METEX WS 1,600 x 12,000 CNC roller grinding machine will be used at the Maxau site in future. thyssenkrupp is continuing to implement its Steel Strategy 20-30 and is investing in the long-term viability of its steel business. Plans include the conversion of the Duisburg casting and rolling mill into a new continuous casting plant, followed by a hot strip mill featuring new key components. Investments are also planned at the Bochum site: a new double-reversing stand and an annealing and insulation line are planned here. Both will strengthen Bochum’s position as a centre of excellence for steels.
